- These trials studied FDA-approved Wegovy and Zepbound. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide contain the same active ingredients but are not FDA-approved and were not tested in those trials.
- Not for anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2, or who is pregnant or trying to be.
- Nausea and stomach upset are common early on, which is why doses step up slowly.

What if the clinician doesn't approve me?
Then you pay nothing. When you finish your health questions we place a $50 hold on your card, not a charge. It becomes a charge only if a clinician prescribes treatment. If they don't, the hold is released.
Is Vitascend a pharmacy or a medical practice?
Neither. Vitascend is the company you sign up and pay with. Your care comes from independent, licensed clinicians who make every prescribing decision, and your medication is prepared by a licensed US compounding pharmacy.
What does "compounded" mean, and is it safe?
A compounded medication is prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient's prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, which means the FDA doesn't review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they're dispensed. Licensed pharmacies are regulated and inspected by their state boards, and your clinician will talk you through the risks.
What's included in the price?
Your medication, shipping (cold-packed when it needs to be) and your clinician's reviews for as long as you're on the plan. The one extra is the $50 visit fee on your first order, and only if you're approved. There's nothing to pay for renewals beyond the plan price.

You pay for three months at a time at a lower monthly price. Around day 75 we check in on how you're doing; your clinician reviews it and your next three months ship before you run out. Nothing renews without that check-in.
